Welcome to the web-site of the Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia – Aarhus, Denmark

This web-site is primarily set up to facilitate information regarding Slovenia for Danes and Danish companies.

Hence the site is divided into a section with general information regarding Slovenia, a section with information for tourists, one with information regarding trade and industry and finally a section telling you where to get further assistance.

01/02/08 Slovenian art group exhibits in Århus

For the first time ever the Slovenian art group Irwin will exhibit its works in Denmark. The Aarhus Art Building presents "State in Time" from 2nd of February thru 6th of April. See more by clicking here (in Danish).

01/01/08 Slovenia holds the Presidency in EU

In the first half of 2008, Slovenia holds the Presidency for the first time, as the first of the twelve “new” member states that joined the EU in the 2004 and 2007 enlargements to do so. See more by clicking here.

21/12/07 Slovenia joins the Schengen-zone

21st of December 2007 Slovenia joins the Schengen-zone. From then border control will be abolished at the Borders between Slovenia and Austria, Hungary and Italy. The Croatian border becomes the new common schengen-border.

Bordercontrol in the airport will be abolished end of March 2008

01/01/07 Slovenia joins the Euro-zone

1st of January 2007 Slovenia - as the first of the former Communist Countries - joins the Euro-zone.

University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts – Department of Slovene Studies Centre for Slovene as a Second/Foreign Language is offering Summer School of Slovene Language in Ljubljana 3.7 – 30.7.
